Vision + Values

VISION & VALUES

AT ALFC OUR VISION IS TO...

Build a house that loves and honours God in the beauty of His Holiness.

Be seekers after Him and His Kingdom with all our hearts, all our minds and all our souls.

Be a house that has a zeal and passion for the Holiness and honour of His Name.

Be doers of His holy will and all that pleases Him.

Work and act in the wisdom of His holy word, the bible, that apart from Him we can do nothing and unless God builds the house the builders labour in vain.

Fulfil His great commission in the gifting and empowerment of His Holy Spirit to go and preach the Gospel to the whosoever.

Be a house where the presence of God is found to heal the broken-hearted, set the prisoner free and break the yoke of the oppressor in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

PRAYER

IN ALFC WE ARE DEVOTED TO SEEKING GOD IN PRAYER.

We prioritise the building and maintenance of our intercessory prayer ground -'Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain PS 127:1'

We do nothing, big or small, without committing it to the Lord in prayer. First asking for his will to be done and for his wisdom and counsel to be given to us through the Holy Spirit in accordance with his will.

Praise, worship and prayer is the heavenly atmosphere that our Church breathes, lives and walks in.

We meet twice weekly to pray, while very much encouraging personal prayer.

We are committed to giving over the first month of every year exclusively to seeking God  in prayer for his will and provisions for the year ahead.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE IN...

GOD

There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible Word of God.

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the full deity of Jesus Christ; that He was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and, as such, is God perfectly manifested in the flesh; that He died on the cross, a perfect and complete sacrifice in our place and for our sins according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven where at the right hand of the Majesty on high, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. – John 1:6-14,John 1:17-18, Mat. 1:18-23, Isa. 9:6, Col. 2:8-10 , Mark 16:19, Acts 2:33-36, Mat. 28:1-10, Rom. 8:26-27

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit whose ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict of sin and regenerate the sinner upon believing in Christ, at the time of regeneration baptising the believer into the one body of which Christ is the head; and to indwell, guide, instruct, fill and empower the believer for Godly living and service in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the offices that have been set by God in the Church, as recorded in the New Testament – Rom. 8:28-30 , Rom. 12:1-2, Psa. 32:8, Heb. 13:20-21

SALVATION
We believe that the atoning death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground of justification and salvation for all who believe, and that only such as receive Jesus Christ by personal faith are born of the Holy Spirit and, thus, become children of God. – Gal 3:24-29 , Rom 5:18-19, Rom 4:25, 1 Pet 1:23, John 3:3

THE CHURCH

The Church of Jesus Christ is the universal, spiritual body of believers from every tribe, tongue, kindred and race of peoples, and is indwelt by God through the Holy Spirit and divinely empowered to fulfill ministry and it’s Great Commission on earth.

BAPTISM
We believe that believers’ baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during this present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. – 1 Cor. 10:16, Acts 2:42, 1 Thes. 5:9, 2 Tim. 3:15, John 14:6

RESURRECTION
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting and conscious punishment. – Rev. 20:4-6 , 1 Thes. 4:17, Acts 24:15, 1 Cor. 15:21, Matt. 24:51, Matt. 25:30

ANGELS AND SATAN
We believe in the existence of angels who worship God and minister to believers. We also believe in the existence of Satan, the devil, a fallen angelic being who with his demons opposes God, His people and His work. We believe that Christians today can have victory over Satan and his evil schemes through their identification with Christ who defeated him powerfully and conclusively at the cross. – Gen 28:12, Heb. 1:6, Isa. 14:12, Luke 10:18, 1 Cor. 15:54-55

LEADERSHIP

In ALFC, our leadership model is based on Nehemiah by the leading of God's Holy Spirit.

Our understanding is that God's people are very much involved in God's building programmes. We encourage our people to get involved at every level of ministries in the Church and to be doers of his will. We have a senior pastors leadership team with a lead pastor and ministry leaders who manage our various ministries in the Church.
